12 Sorrel-Weed House

The Sorrel-Weed house is located at 6 W Harris Street in Savannah. It sits on the northwest corner of Madison Square, across Bull Street from the DeSoto Hotel, and kittycorner from St. John's Episcopal Church. Francis Sorrel, a successful cotton merchant, was the original owner of the Greek Revival styled Sorrel-Weed House which he built in the early 1840's. The home was designed by noted architect Charles Cluskey.
